Zambian educatee arrested for insulting the president on Facebook

Edward Makayi, an applied scientific discipline educatee inwards Zambia's capital, Lusaka, was arrested days ago.


It is alleged that Mr Makayi used an expletive [curse word] piece writing virtually the president on Facebook.

Appearing inwards courtroom yesterday, Edward Makayi denied the charges leveled against him.

The courtroom granted him bail only Makayi is yet inwards custody until he meets the bail conditions, which includes a 2,000 kwacha ($220) cash payment.

Zambia's president Edgar Lungu has been defendant of beingness authoritarian past times many of his critics.

South Africa's Julius Malema has compared Lungu to apartheid leaders because of his fashion of repressing political opposition past times accusing as well as detaining people.
